RAPTURE

Everything we build, and then keep running.

Ten things we get hired for. Most studios pick one and send you elsewhere for the rest; we have shipped all of this and we operate a product of our own, so none of it is a first time on your money.

01

Consulting

A second opinion from somebody with nothing to sell you afterwards. On a project that stalled, on an architecture, on a quote you were handed, or on the engineer you are about to hire.

What that means

  • A read on a project before you sign anything
  • Which technology, and more often which one not to
  • By the day, and no strings once it is done
02

Websites

The page people land on before they decide whether to trust you. Designed around what your business actually sells, quick on a phone on a train, and written so Google and the assistants people ask instead can both read it.

What that means

  • Designed from nothing, never dropped into a template
  • Technical SEO and structured data built in, not added later
  • Content you change yourself, without calling us
03

Web apps

Where your customers sign in and do something that has to be remembered afterwards. Accounts, permissions, payments, and the admin side your own team runs the business from.

What that means

  • Sign-in, roles and who is allowed to see what
  • Money in from customers and out to whoever is owed it
  • An admin side built for the people actually in it all day
04

Complex platforms

Marketplaces, booking systems, anything with two sides and money moving between them. We built one of our own and we run it, so the parts that go wrong here are not a theory to us.

What that means

  • Marketplaces with buyers on one side and sellers on the other
  • Booking, availability, capacity and what happens when it runs out
  • One payment split between several people who are owed it
05

Mobile apps

An app people install from the App Store and Google Play. Built once for both, with the notifications, the offline behaviour and the store paperwork that come with it.

What that means

  • iPhone and Android out of one build
  • Notifications, and something that still works on a train
  • We deal with the stores and the reviews they put you through
06

Desktop apps

Software that lives on a Mac or a Windows machine, for the work that does not belong in a browser tab. Installable, signed, and updating itself without anybody being asked.

What that means

  • macOS and Windows, properly signed so nothing warns about it
  • Updates that arrive quietly in the background
  • Keeps working when the network does not
07

Backend and infrastructure

The part nobody sees and everybody feels. The machines it runs on, the database under it, getting new versions out safely, backups, and the watching that wakes somebody before your customers notice.

What that means

  • Hosting, releases and backups you never have to think about
  • Monitoring that wakes a person, not a dashboard nobody reads
  • Built to hold at a thousand customers, not at ten
08

AI integration

Putting a model to work inside your product, on your own data, where it saves somebody an hour a day. Not a chat bubble stuck in the corner of a page.

What that means

  • Assistants that work on your data and act as the person using them
  • Drafting, sorting and pulling the facts out of what you already have
  • A way for your team to point an assistant at your systems safely
09

AI optimisation

People ask an assistant before they ask a search engine, and it answers from whatever it can read about you. We make sure that is yours, current, and complete.

What that means

  • Pages a model reads properly instead of guessing at
  • Structured data, and a plain-text copy of every page
  • Checked against what the assistants actually answer about you
10

Moving onto something newer

The system that still works but cannot be changed any more, and the one person who understands it is leaving. We move it, a piece at a time, without the week of downtime everybody is afraid of.

What that means

  • Moved in stages, never in one weekend with everything crossed
  • Your data comes across, all of it, checked both ends
  • The old and the new running side by side until you are sure

Not sure which of these yours is?

That is the normal state of affairs, and working it out is the first thing we do. Tell us roughly what you have in mind and you get back what it would take and what it costs, before anything is agreed.
